(NYSE: LUV) today extended the carrier’s bookable flight schedule from March 9 through April 24, 2017, while publishing new service to Mexico’s beach resorts from OaklandInternational Airport beginning Feb. 12, 2016, subject to approvals of the Mexican government. The carrier received U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) approval following its application and announced intention of service between Northern California and two destinations on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Additional routes newly link cities with nonstop service across the United States. In celebration of the new flights now available for purchase, Southwest® is offering special fares (purchase today through Aug. 11, 2016, 11:59 p.m. in the time zone of the originating city).
